In a late response to that deadline article a few weeks ago, I'd thought I'd post real statistics from both the WGA and Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies at UCLA on both racial and gender diversity in TV and film, as a benchmark for an article that has no real statistical analysis.

UCLA's report was a major source for my masters thesis which was a radio documentary/produced essay on how in 2015, Hollywood films and TV programs largely fail to represent the diverse cultural makeup of the US population and why diversity in entertainment is socially beneficial. Shortly after submitting my thesis, the Deadline article was published and I was floored. Thanks for sharing!
